Biotin Vitamin B7 Injection

How often do we look at our “Crowning Glory” and think it doesn’t look glorious at all!

Most of us would love to have beautiful thick, lustrous hair, but few of us actually do. Well, here at Jayne Taylor Aesthetics – Bradford, we’ve been busy finding the perfect treatment for those of us wanting to improve the health of our hair (skin and nails!)

A fairly shocking statistic is that 50% of women and 70% of men will experience thinning or hair loss at some point in their life.

Biotin (Vitamin B7) is found in many everyday foods such as eggs, milk, fish, meat, seeds and nuts to name a few. A deficiency in Biotin can cause hair to thin, dry and flaky skin, brittle nails, a facial rash, tiredness and memory loss. Biotin is very important!

When we realise that our bodies need Biotin to produce keratin which is the type of protein that makes up our hair, skin and nails, it all makes sense. Biotin supports the enzymes that break down fat, protein and carbohydrates in our food, turning them into energy, so it makes sense that it speeds up metabolism and aids weight loss….a bonus for many!

There isn’t a test available to tell us whether we are deficient in Biotin, so we have to identify it via the symptoms. That said, if you don’t have a deficiency in Biotin but want to generally improve your hair and nails, Biotin is still the supplement for you.

There are a few “Home Rules” to consider that will help you to keep your hair in tip-top condition:

  • Eat foods rich in Omega 3 fatty acids like, tuna, salmon and walnuts
  • Regular blow drying and styling with hot styling tools can dry and damage your hair
  • Cigarettes are known to damage hair and should be eliminated
  • Be gentle when brushing or styling your hair
  • Pulling too harshly during styling can result in hair loss
  • Stress is a common factor in poor condition and hair loss

And, of course, Jayne Taylor Aesthetics – Bradford can most definitely support you with fabulous skin care products and treatments but if you would simply like to boost your current regime,  Biotin could still be the treatment for you.

Biotin can be sourced in tablet form, but most supplements are not effectively absorbed by our bodies through ingestion and, as a result, is more effectively administered via injection.

The treatment is quick and easy and performed by a person specifically trained to administer medication. An injection, taking only seconds, is given into the upper arm or buttock if preferred and begins to work immediately although it may take a few days to improve your symptoms. The treatment is extremely safe, it is usually given once or twice a week for 6 weeks and could easily continue monthly for the rest of your life.

Additional Benefits of Biotin

  • Strengthens hair and nails
  • Aids in preventing hair loss
  • Improves acne and eczema
  • Improves mood and increases energy
  • Increases metabolism and speeds up weight loss

Feeling and looking better could be just one appointment away. All you need to begin your Biotin journey is to book a consultation at Jayne Taylor Aesthetics, and we will do the rest. See you soon!
