Vitamin B12 is one of the groups of essential B Vitamins needed by your body for the production of red blood cells and the formation of DNA.  

The bad news is that our body cannot make this vitamin so we are reliant upon our diet to provide it, either from animal based foods or supplements and if your diet doesn’t keep topping it up you can very easily become deficient. 

Symptoms can include tiredness, muscle weakness, shortness of breath, depression, constipation, diarrhoea and loss of appetite.
